Welcome to Grade 3
My name is Brenda Bossenberry and I am excited to be your child's grade 3 teacher. I have taught my whole career with the Calgary Board of Education and am entering my 26th year of teaching. I have taught grades 3,4,5,6, and 7. My favourite thing to do is spend time outside and so I feel incredibly lucky living in this beautiful city with the mountains a short distance away. I spent a lot of time biking and walking in Fish Creek Park this summer! I also love reading, travelling and spending time with my family and friends. The highlight of my summer was taking my parents to their very first Blue Jays game in Toronto. We had an amazing time!
I look forward to meeting all of you next week at our Open House from 4:30 - 6:30. If you ever need to contact me, please feel free to phone the school or send me an email at bdbossenberr@cbe.ab.ca (there is no "y" on my email address).
Classroom Update
This week, we spent time learning about each other. The students have been creating a project titled "All About Me" where they are drawing and writing information that tells us about them. We played games in math that gave us little previews of multiplication and counting money. We also did some writing and even started to learn how to handwrite.
